Spectrum Color is the World’s Leader in Specialty Gel Coat Products. With over 50 years in the boat repair industry, we have experience in all aspects of fiberglass repairs.
Our service school will teach beginners how to repair chips, gouges, air voids, cracks, etc. It will also cover spraying and finishing the repair out to a factory finish. We also work with Gibco Flex Mold to teach them how to do nonskid repairs. Additionally, students will receive an introduction on metal flake repair. Lastly, we give them an introduction into color matching gel coat.
The class day will help any technician be able to adjust the gel coat colors from changes due to oxidation, porosity, yellowing, staining, and many other factors.

- All students will receive a 3M Performance spray gun valued at $360!
- Spectrum Color will provide all lunches, snacks, and drinks during class
- Spectrum Color will host two dinners (Monday and Tuesday)

- Spectrum Color group rates ($129/night) are available to students at The Courtyard Marriott at 2075 State RD 16 St Augustine, FL 32084 | 904-826-4068. Participant to make their own arrangements.
- Breakfast provided through Hotel. Bus to campus leaves hotel at 7:45 AM every morning

- Spectrum Color will provide transportation to/from hotel to training facility and hosted offsite dinners.
- Participant to make flight or driving arrangements on their own to arrive in St. Augustine.

Curriculum

Day 1
Safety course and workstation setup tutorial. Sanding basics and an overview of different types of repairs and patch paste repairs. Finishes with a Spectrum hosted dinner.

Day 2
Finish up screw hole and patch paste repairs and move into fiberglass repairs. Gibco non-sided and Underdog demos and another famous Spectrum hosted dinner.

Day 3
Metal flake repair overview and demo. Check Gibco status and finish up any repairs left over from the previous days.

Day 4
Day 4 is all about color matching and wrapping everything up. Last day ends early at 3pm.
